Academic Partnerships

The ILC is honoured to be working in an official partnership with The McMaster Masters of Occupational Therapy program by providing clinical Coop Student Placements to broaden the understanding of needs in the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) patient population. Through the lens of EDS, healthcare students are gaining a deeper understanding of what Chronic Pain is and the extent of needs that exist. Please read this important document.

Research Partnerships

The ILC Foundation is working with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals from across Canada and internationally, to improve understanding of difficult to diagnose chronic pain diseases. The outcomes of this work will help to bridge gaps in evidence based diagnostic and treatment criteria of a broad group of chronic pain diseases, utilizing connective tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS), as a model of optimal care.
